Healthy Oats Halwa Sweet Recipe
Healthy Oat Halwa Sweet Recipe
Hello everyone!!!
sweet desire? I have exactly what you would love! It's a quick recipe for oat halvah. It's one of my kitchen experiments, but don't worry, it just tastes delicious. I've always been a fan of sooji ka halwa and when my dad bought a 1kg bumper pack of oats I thought…why not substitute oats for sooji (rava)? Voila! A nice healthy version of Halwa was ready. Here is my Healthy Oat Halwa Sweet Recipe.
Let me start with the health benefits of oats:
- It helps lower blood pressure
- It keeps sugar under control
Ok, let me tell you how I made the oat halvah.
ingredients
Oats – 1 cup
sugar-1/2 cup
Water – 1 ½ cup
Ghee- 2 tbsp
Elaichi (cardamom) – 2 pods
Raisins and melon seeds – for garnish
preparation method
1. Add 2 tablespoons of ghee to a cup of oatmeal and roast well in a wok (kadai).
2. Fry until slightly brown.
3. Add 1 ½ cup water and add ½ cup sugar.
4. Let it cook on full flame for a while.
5. After 5 minutes, when it starts to take on the consistency of a halvah, turn off the flame.
6. Garnish with raisins and melon seeds.
7. Have fun!!
Now you have a healthier dessert option with you. It's made with healthy oats and just 2 tablespoons of ghee. Have it as a sweet dish rather than a main dish just because it's made with oats; Remember, there's sugar in it too 🙂
