Wanderlust October: Better Together
On October 10th, the world will recognize the importance of mental health and raise awareness of the importance of taking care of ourselves and those around us. Over the past year, global mental health dynamics have seen major challenges in staying healthy and good with ourselves – it was and is a difficult time on so many levels. Mental health problems are silent. Compared to physical health, where the body alarms us with pain, mental health issues don't scream out loud – they hide and manifest themselves in various ways, affecting relationships with others, work, self-awareness, and more. Here at Wanderlust we are fortunate to have an array of tools, resources from the most highly trained community leaders and leaders who share their knowledge of practice and theory that can help us heal and boost our mental health immunity (we call it resilience, don't we?). Whether yoga, breathing exercises, mediation or power fitness classes, this is something that we want to make available to everyone and everywhere, including you.
Active letting go to relieve suffering
Join Danielle LaPorte to practice moving things around. Make space. And drink the medicine of acceptance. You will be given guidelines on how to face change and step into the bold silence – where leadership is born.
Why meditate
Not sure why to start meditating? Not sure how to start?
Let Megan Monahan help you with this simple first exercise.
Neuroplasticity: Take control of your life
Lisa Wimberger, co-founder of NeuroPraxis, gives a deep insight into the power to reshape our mind. Grace and ease don't come from luck; they come from deliberately navigating your own nervous system. In this course you will learn to recognize subtle emotional and mental patterns in the nervous system and to solve them with body and mind techniques. You will discover the power of your own neuroplasticity and learn how to use it to end patterns of self-sabotage, soothe old wounds, and become the writer of your own story.
Breathwork for resilience
Learn how you can use your breath as a vehicle to strengthen your body's ability to process and deal with everyday moments of stress. It is important that the systems in your body have some degree of resilience to cope with everyday activities.
