This Beef Negimaki Stir Fry takes all of the delicious flavors of Beef Negimaki and puts them in a pan so your dinner will be ready in under 30 minutes. Although green beans aren't part of the traditional negimaki, they are added to this pan for extra veggies.   • 1 lb Flank steak
  • Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 Cup Sake or dry white wine, Optional
  • 1/4 Cup gluten-free tamari or coconut amino acids
  • 2 tablespoon Rice vinegar or white wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Clover honey or pure maple syrup
  • Coconut or avocado oil
  • 8th Ounces French green beans, cut in half
  • 1 Bunch of shallots, Green parts only, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 5 Ounces Watercress, approx. 4 cups packed
  • Slice the steak as thin as possible against the grain. Season generously with salt and pepper. Put aside.

  • In a small bowl, stir the sake (if used), tamari, vinegar and honey together until they have dissolved.

  • Set a large wok or thick-bottomed pan over high heat. Add a thin layer of oil and arrange the steak in an even layer.

  • Sear the meat by turning it once until there is a dark burn on both sides, about 3 minutes total. Put in a bowl.

  • Add the green beans and sauce to the pan. Simmer vigorously, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has halved and the beans are al dente (approx. 3 minutes).

  • Put the beef in the pan with the spring onions and toss it in the sauce.

  • To serve, place the watercress on a platter and top with the beef pan and sauce. Serve immediately next to white rice if you wish.
