Benefits of Balinese Massage – Indian Weight Loss Blog

Hello dear girls,

A quick introduction about me, I am a fitness enthusiast. I was 80 kg and older at one point. I consulted a very famous nutritionist and started exercising. Today I'm under 58 kg and I keep on improvising, but just keep improvising. After all that weight loss, toning becomes essential, I have a few love handles hanging around and some of the flab needs to be off my arms asap 😛

I just love massages. I take great pleasure in going to a spa and doing some rituals. Some time ago, before Covid 19, I had a Balinese massage done. It's a great way to relax and strengthen your body. Let me share with you some basic information about a Balinese massage.

It is an Indonesian ritual used to reduce water retention and muscle soreness. It's a 75-minute massage that involves stretching the body and applying an oil massage to knead and pinpoint pressure points for pain relief. The massage can be painful for some. Therefore, let the therapist know whether you have pain or muscle tension before starting the treatment.

1. Complete stretching of the muscles:

If you are doing a heavy workout, you need to be stretched afterwards. The first step in a Balinese massage is to stretch the muscles. The therapist lets you do many yoga stretches on the massage bed with your physical strength. Stretching is also a way to prepare for the massage that you will receive later. It completely relieves me of the pain and my joints feel more liberated 🙂

2.Improves blood circulation:

A Balinese massage improves blood circulation. The upward pressure movements emanating from the therapist help improve blood circulation. It pours blood to all parts of the body, giving you healthy looking skin and a fresh face. It is a deep technique that relieves all types of cramps. It is a deep pressure massage that changes the mental state and calms the nerves.

3. Toning the flab:

As I mentioned earlier, I still need to strengthen myself. The best way is through specific exercises and massages. Hence, a Balinese massage is a perfect solution for this. It not only strengthens your skin but also relaxes your mind. So get a regular massage and see the difference.

4.Soft skin:

The oils and essential oils used help you moisturize the skin. They work wonders for starting in winter. I regularly get massages that work wonders for me :). The oils work very well for me, so I don't use lotions in winter and get a massage. For your information, I have extremely dry skin 🙁

Just one suggestion here, Balinese massage shouldn't be chosen if you have had an injury or surgery in the recent past. Pregnant women and expectant mothers should check with their doctor before having a Balinese massage that uses pressure techniques.

Hope you all enjoyed reading about my experience with Balinese massage. See you soon 🙂

Much love
