What works and what doesn't!

Intermittent fasting, also known as IF, is a diet that is known to produce wonderful health and weight loss results when practiced with a low-carb, high-protein diet. My daughter is a passionate IF fan and every now and then asks me what it is The best intermittent fasting drinks for weight loss.

If I have to give a one-liner, the best answer is that it depends on the type of fast you are doing. There are various fasting and eating plans that you can find out here…. But one question that confuses almost anyone who follows an intermittent schedule is what kind of beverages to consume while fasting. Today I thought of discussing what the drinks can be while doing interval fasting for weight loss.

There are several rules people follow during an intermittent fasting diet, but the only rule of thumb is "zero calorie drinks." Um! This is really cruel, but the safest choice as it is best to avoid high calorie drinks while fasting. According to this statement, if you want to lose weight from IF, it is good not to consume any carbohydrates, proteins, sugars, or fats of any kind. Consumption of these while fasting for weight loss for medical reasons may detract from the benefits. Intermittent fasting is used to reduce insulin resistance in order to keep blood sugar levels under control. It has been observed that if one consumes too many liquid calories during Lent, all the exertion is of no use.

Let's find out which drink is safe to consume when doing intermittent fasting.

Black coffee without sugar

Black coffee with no sugar is a calorie-free drink to enjoy during Lent. Remember that no sugar, cream or even milk should be added. Black coffee by itself is a calorie-free drink, but adding sugar or milk will add calories to it. If you find it difficult to drink black coffee just like that, you can add spices like cinnamon.

Remember not to have more than one cup of black coffee during Lent, as too much caffeine on an empty stomach can cause anxiety, acidity, and nervousness.

Black tea

Black tea can be brewed as it is also a calorie-free drink that is fine while fasting. The best way to have it is to simply brew it from tea bags or leaves. A big NO to adding sugar, cream, milk, and bottled iced teas. Adding honey, whipped cream, milk, or whipped cream is fine while in the dining window.

The good news is that tea, which contains less caffeine than coffee, can have more than one cup while fasting.

Zero calorie soda

If you think these alluring calorie-free diet sodas sold in tempting doses can be consumed during intermittent fasting, the answer is NO. Please stay away from these fun tasting sodas as they are strong enough to make you crave food and sugar.

Research says consuming too many artificial sweeteners in diet sodas can increase cravings and appetite.

alcohol

Seriously, have you really thought about it! NO, alcohol must never be drunk during the IF. In addition to being a source of mega-calories, alcohol can kill you if you are on an empty stomach. Give it any name, cocktail or something else but it will always be a negative choice.

water

For those who fast intermittently, water is the only answer to the question … because it is naturally calorie-free. Since it is calorie free, there is no need to control it. Laugh right? Yes, you do, as there are many interesting ways to have water as a calorie-free drink while you are fasting.

  • Enjoy flavored water by adding a slice of your favorite fruit column. You can make a bottle of fully flavored water and continue sipping if necessary.
  • Another option is to add a teaspoon of fresh lime juice to make a glass of fresh "Nimbu Paani". Add a pinch of pink Himalayan salt and you will be well hydrated.
  • In all honesty, I'd like a mug of club soda with a dash of lime and black salt with a few crushed mint leaves. Try it as the best drink while driving Intermittent fasting for weight loss.
  • Carbonated water can be drunk like water, as long as it is naturally flavored and calorie-free.
  • Another of my personal choices is to put some holy basil leaves / tulsi in a mug of water and eat them throughout Lent.
  • Green tea can be drunk hot or cold with a little lemon to make you feel good.
  • A cup of green coffee can't hurt either.

So that was my opinion, if you have any other ideas or doubts we need to discuss them here…. wait for comments here.
