February on WLTV: Self-Love – Wanderlust
It’s a perennial theme during February, and we’re always delighted to return to this practice: self-love.
We’ve assembled five classes, each using different modalities, that are a wonderful roadmap for exploring compassion for the self.
A Path to Self-Love: 10-Day Meditation Challenge with Maude Hirst
Led by mindfulness teacher Maude Hirst, “A Path to Self Love” 10-Day Meditation Challenge is a powerful program designed to assist you in actualizing your own definition of self-love. Maude will guide you toward recognizing, accepting, and loving even the darkest parts of yourself. The goal is to live a happier, more joyful life, with a deeper connection to yourself and to those around you.
Tapping into Self-Love with Natalie Valle
Tapping, aka EFT, focuses on meridian points to restore balance to your body’s energy. By stimulating the meridian points, tapping can reduce the stress or negative emotion you feel from your issue, ultimately restoring balance to your disrupted energy.
The tapping will help to access your body’s energy and send signals to the part of the brain that controls stress, so we can bring relief to the mind, body, and spirit. We will conclude the session with a guided meditation to help integrate all of the work we’ve done.
Back to Basics Joy Yoga: Self Love with Emily Harding
Whether you’re starting your yoga journey or have been practicing a while, this joy-filled vinyasa class will help bring some sunshine into your day, as you take the time exploring your alignment in asana, as well as understanding yogic philosophy and theory.
Find Self-Love & Happiness: Qi Gong with Tracie Storey
Qi Gong is an ancient energy practice with many great benefits for the mind, body and soul. Using movement and sound you’ll stimulate the flow of Qi through the body, becoming aware of the energy within and outside the body. With intentional movements, you will learn to create a bodily dialogue and will start to activate the flow of energy within.
Bold Love For Self and the Collective: Dharma Talk, Breathwork & Meditation with Reggie Hubbard
This class offers dharma, breathwork, and meditation deriving wisdom from the African American experience and yogic philosophy applied to our current circumstances. We will explore transcendent love of self and others, and daring to dream even when it seems foolish to do so. Through this practice, we will shift our thinking from despair toward feeling inspired to re-create a more loving, just, and fair society for all: rooted in the wisdom of the past to serve the wellness of the collective.
