Flax Seeds And Weight Loss

The winters are knocking on the door and we will soon find a lot of information about healthy eating in winter online and offline.

Much has been said and discussed about flaxseed while talking about healthy eating in winter, but I chose not to know. It wasn't until my nutritionist suggested including it in my diet that I tried to learn more about them. The more I learned, the more surprised I was.

Flaxseed and weight lossFlaxseed is also known as flaxseed, alsi, or teesi and is available from local grocery stores. It's especially important for a vegetarian like me as it's a rich source of omega-3 fatty acids, high in fiber, and important micronutrients.

Easily available in seed and oil form (remember flaxseed oil we use in oil paintings) and have been around us, most of us never even noticed and suddenly they are treating them all like an exotic ingredient. If you choose a good mouth freshener, you will see it is there. In fact, if you eat multigrain bread you will find it all there. It adds crispness and I love it.

1. High fiber content

Flax seeds are high in fiber, and including them in the diet helps in the formation of stool. So if you suffer from IBS or constipation, this will be beneficial for you. Make sure you are drinking enough water with it. It absorbs the water and acts as a laxative.

Since it is high in fiber, it adds bulk to the diet and reduces hunger. So when you have flaxseed, you will feel full and use fewer calories. This further helps in weight loss.

Spending On Anti Aging Creams? Then you might want to replace them with flaxseeds, which are cheaper. The flaxseed oil is used in many cosmetics as it makes your face glow and evens skin tone. When you eat one teaspoon of flaxseed a day, it contains the oil and other ingredients that work together to help slow down the signs of aging. There are many other benefits as well, but these are some of the main benefits that I noticed as well. Now, many of us are unsure how to include it in our diet. I usually soak a teaspoon of flaxseed in water at night and have it on an empty stomach the next day. If I forget to soak it, I'll just have it and have a glass of water.

Here are some other ways to include flaxseed in your diet:

– Have it as a mouth freshener after a meal.

– Add to the morning cereal bowl

– Mix with lettuce.

– Enclose in bread dough and cookies.

-It can also be added to your dosa batter, smoothies, upma.

Flaxseed and faster weight loss

You can have it that way or you can find your own innovative way. Some people prefer to grind and use it, but then ground flaxseeds lose their nutritional value faster. You should only grind a little and store in an airtight container. Do not expose it to bright light or sun and store it in a dark, cool place.

Vegetarians should consume up to 2 teaspoons of flaxseed daily for maximum benefit. If you're just starting out, use a small amount to make sure you're not allergic to it. However, pregnant and nursing mothers should consult their doctor before including it in their diet.

Flaxseed and weight loss go hand in hand. Do you agree ?
