One of the main reasons for belly fat is fatty liver. It is also called NALFD – Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. The name of the disease is self-explanatory.

What causes fatty liver / NALFD?

Have you ever heard of a French delicacy called foie gras? It is a delicacy made from foie gras. The first step of this dish is to overfeed / force-feed ducks / geese with sugar, corn, and starch. Excessive sugar consumption makes your liver fat.

Why is fatty liver so serious?

Fatty liver can give you all kinds of health problems, followed by insane medical bills.
Fatty liver causes inflammation in your body that leads to insulin resistance and prediabetes. This also leads to a build-up of fat on the liver, around all organs (visceral fat) and your abdomen.

Belly fat is dangerous and the hardest to lose. It is caused by high carbohydrates (sugar and starch). It can cause bad cholesterol, which is the main cause of heart attacks. Unfortunately, good cholesterol is also reduced by its harmful effects.

I read somewhere that young children in the US had to opt for a liver transplant because of excessive soda intake. This is a serious problem. We have to think about where our generation is going, sigh!

How do you find out if you have fatty liver / NALFD?

  1. Do you have belly fat
  2. Do you eat sugar and flour
  3. Do you crave carbohydrates, sugar, starches?

If the answer to two of the three questions above is "yes", then you most likely have fatty liver disease. Blood tests are available to show that you have fatty liver. You can also opt for ultrasound.
