Search TikTok for #greengoddesssalad and you’ll get a whopping 21.1 million hits. Check the #greengoddess tag and you’ll find 82.7 million hits (but they’re probably pictures of Shrek’s Fiona). The reason for that popularity? The vegan Green Goddess Salad promises to be healthy, extremely tasty and easy to make.

Is the Green Goddess Salad healthy?

The traditional Green Goddess dressing is made with cooking cream, crème Fraiche, mayonnaise or sour cream – which knocks the macronutrient balance off a bit and often puts the focus on fats. In the Baked By Melissa recipe that’s gone viral on TikTok, these ingredients are replaced, so you can be sure that the salad is nutritious, rich in micronutrients and – not unimportant – mega tasty.

However, there’s always that small side note: products or recipes are never simply healthy or unhealthy, it depends on the place they get in your general diet. But since the salad contains many vegetables, vitamins, minerals and healthy fats, we dare to say that this salad is on the healthier side of the spectrum.

How do I make TikTok’s Green Goddess Salad?

The Baked by Melissa recipe follows American dimensions – so taste every now and then to make sure the proportions are right. And, any other green vegetable is of course also very welcome in the Green Goddess Salad – so don’t be afraid to use up your leftovers!
