The goal is to achieve this Integral Lens that can bring us greater awareness and a connection to the greater whole. Once we get there, we realize that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
One example is putting together a picture puzzle. We can see each piece individually, but when we put all the pieces together correctly, a whole new picture emerges. Baking a cake is another example. We add flour, eggs, baking soda, water and heat and the result looks very different from the ingredients that are in it.
If we can “see” through all the different lenses, we get a kaleidoscopic view of the overall picture, which calls for new paradigms for living and working together.
