How To Maintain Weight During Festivals

How to keep your weight off during the festivals

– –

With Diwali approaching next week, I'm not afraid of gaining weight this time! I am not this Diwali in the family, that annoys me a little, but on the other hand I am glad that, unlike in previous Diwali celebrations, I will not gain weight.

Sweets, namkeens, sugary juices, cold drinks, chocolate … poof, endless list of vices that make us FAT!

How to keep your weight off during the festivals

I am listing some tips from my personal experience –

1. Say Noooooooooooo, a big one;). Your relatives and friends would be surprised for a few seconds. Trust me, they would be delighted later if you hadn't eaten the candy that was later used to serve someone else

2. Increase your intake of antioxidants like green tea and brown rice.

3. Increase foods with negative calories in your meals. Read about it here.

4. Don't skip your workout. For every candy you eat, 15 minutes more on the treadmill: P. This will keep you from eating more candy.

5. Don't store sweets. Instead, pass on the candy you received as a gift. Saved money and health too 🙂!

6. Be different. How many people will remember the cute box you give them? How many people will remember the cold drink you served them? NONE. Gift pictures, diyas, bed linen – there are a hell of a lot of possibilities! Makeup is also a wonderful gift option, Ana do you read that 😛?

When people use your gift in their daily work, they'll remember you every time they use it. Serve homemade, less sugary sweet and neembu paani or lassi, it shows warmth and hospitality!

7. Portion Control – I'm not going to say you don't eat sweets, after all, Diwali is a pomp-n-show, yes :). Eat responsibly, period!

8. Once the festival is over, distribute whatever you have in your fridge to your maid, servant, driver and security guards. They need more candy than we do.

9. Laugh and enjoy a lot :).

Hope you have a happy, healthy and safe Diwali 🙂!

XOXO
