Peanut Chutney Recipe | Protein Recipe
Hi girl,
Let me share with you a delicious and healthy peanut recipe that I learned from a South Indian colleague. Peanuts are a great source of essential fatty acids and proteins. This chutney is a typical South Indian chutney made from quark. You can serve this with uttapams, idlis, Chilas, or even U.pma.
Things You Need To Make Peanut Chutney:
- 1 cup of roasted shelled peanuts,
- 1/4 cup toasted C.hana,
- Garlic 2-3 pods,
- 3/4th Cup Quark
- Completely red chili
- Dhania powder
- Salt to taste
To start:
- 1 teaspoon of oil,
- Mustard seeds,
- Kadi Patta,
- A little red chili powder
In a blender grinder, first stir all dry ingredients including garlic. In a separate bowl, beat the curd so that no lumps are left, add the dry mixture and mix well. If the mixture is very thick, add some curd cheese to make it thin.
For starting, Heat oil a Add the wok, mustard seeds and kadi PattaWhen it starts to flutter, add Kadi P.atta and something red chili Powder; Turn off the gas. Now add the tempering above.
Peanut chutney is ready :). Serve and consume within a day.
Tempering is a very important concept in Indian cuisine, not only healthy but a great way to get those essential fats and nutrients. So never be afraid of a ghee T.adka or K.adi Patta T.adka, instead save it and enjoy it to the fullest 🙂
