Pumpkin Pie Dip
This pumpkin pie dip recipe is oldie but goodie! It's a popular starter or dessert for Halloween parties because the kids (and adults) love it! It's also so easy to prepare that no cooking is required! More ideas for pumpkin desserts Pumpkin butterscotch bars, pumpkin buns and pumpkin pie.
There is nothing I love more than when it gets cooler after a hot summer, cozy sweater weather begins and the smell of pumpkin spice slats fills the air. Not to mention October is my birthday month too. My kitchen fills with warm, hearty autumn soups and all kinds of pumpkin-flavored desserts.
This recipe is so simple that even the kids could make it! That's one of the reasons I love this dip. It's also so quick to whip, simply combine canned pumpkin with brown sugar, pumpkin seasoning, cinnamon, vanilla, yogurt, and whipped cream and let cool. Nothing to cook that is so great when you need a fall dessert or starter. Bring it to your next Halloween or Thanksgiving day, the kids will love it. If you want to get extra festive for Halloween, serve it in a little hollowed out pumpkin!
Most pumpkin dip recipes call for cool whip. Instead, I prefer to use TruWhip in the freezer of most supermarkets. It contains cleaner ingredients, no high fructose corn syrup or GMOs. I also mix in 0% Greek yogurt to add protein.
