Weight Loss and the Service Trade

Hey everyone

Until a few years ago I was cabin crew. So far everyone's talking about how glamorous it is and you can get dressed and put on a lot of makeup and roam the world. All of this is true at a high cost when you tend to gain weight.

Let me start with the rules of the airline I was on. Weight checks were carried out every two months, with only 2 kg above the prescribed weight limit. Anything else and you can't fly until the weight is gone. The other mistake all airlines make is seeing the number on the scales and not taking into account the muscle to fat ratio, etc. However, the situation has now improved as the nursing department takes into account the ratio of BMI, fat to muscle, etc.

However, the time for weight management is terrible for everyone except the genetically blessed souls! (Oh how I hate them all lol). The flight meal can make any person gain weight in a month because there is maida and baking soda in the meal. Even odd times destroy your system.

And that leads to desperate measures. I also followed them all. I took diuretics to flush the water weight out of my body. It was a horrible thing and I knew it. But the fear of losing your salary or being grounded is greater. I puked the Atlas 4-5 times after eating normally again.

The second was a crash diet a week before the due weight control. Again this weakened my immunity and I was prone to coughs and colds the whole time.

The effects of the abuse my body has suffered are still in part. I seem to have developed perennial dark circles and am more prone to coughs and colds than others.

These types of desperate measures make a person look flabby and dull rather than fit and toned. The body fat percentage increases when the body goes into starvation mode. Hair loss, dark circles, and sallow skin are essential components of unhealthy weight loss. It's good to be fit but great to be healthy and fit 🙂

However, common sense prevailed, and I started exercising and eating healthy on a regular basis. Slowly the weight decreased and my health improved.

We can see that the quick fix method rarely works. If there really was a quick fix, the people in the world would never be fat.
