What is a healthy weight loss snack?
When we say ‘snack’ it means food consumed in small portions in between main meals. There are different views on snacking as an aid to weight loss efforts. According to some snacks in between meals helps to manage hunger pangs and regulate blood sugar.
Not only that, eating small portions of food in the form of snack helps in increasing nutrients in the body. Thus the best snacks are those that are rich in protein, healthy fats, and fiber. Yes, there is no doubt that you need to plan and prepare your snacks before hand so that you don’t reach out to unhealthy processed food when you feel hungry in between meals. Snacks help in promoting weight loss as it becomes a part of daily healthy food eating habits but only snacking can’t help you lose excess weight. Two quick weight loss snacks recipes for the cooking novice
There are various snacks which can be a wonderful aid in losing weight along with well planned workouts. Some of the easiest to prepare are Hummus, Dhokla, various nut butters, flavored yoghurts, and smoothies. The list is long but today I am going to share two easy to prepare healthy snacks which can keep you full longer and are full of nutrition.

Quick Dhokla
Ingredients and Recipe
One cup Besan (chick pea flour), salt and a pinch of turmeric. Mix well using a sieve.
In a container dilute one cup Curd and whip it well.
Add a tsp of olive oil, one lemon’s juice, and mix it well.
Mix all ingredients well to prepare a homogenous mixture.
Add a little water if required. The batter should coat the spoon when you take it out of the mixing bowl.
Finally add 2 sachets of fruit salt and mix well (but not much) to avoid lumps.
All you need to do now is to steam it covered (Healthier way) or microwave (not so healthy) Read about it in the link.

Before serving just season the whole thing with a tsp of olive oil, mustard and kadhi patta.
