Yesterday my newlywed daughter sent me the picture of hummus my foodie son-in-law made. With the ongoing Omicron scare and work-from-home scenario, this lovely couple is making an effort to cook at home. Look at the picture of hummus and carrots, isn't it amazing!

Their love of food (not spending time cooking) had always worried me as they always ordered fancy junk food home. This picture made me feel so good and was grateful to Omicron. So I was told that the water that chickpeas are soaked in, known as aquafaba, is a very nutritious liquid. My obvious question to myself was Lose weight with aquafaba possible?
Thus began the search for aquafaba

If you've ever cooked with chickpeas, or a can of chickpeas, you must have smelled the heavenly nutty aroma of the water they were soaked in. This liquid or the leftover liquid in a can of garbanzo beans or garbanzo beans is known as aquafaba. The word is a combination of the Latin words for water "aqua" and bean "faba", making it aquafaba.
I realize that aquafaba is a trendy new food of particular interest and benefit to vegans. Basically, aquafaba is a liquid in which legumes such as chickpeas or beans are soaked, cooked and stored. This interesting ingredient has been featured prominently on social media. It is an ingredient used in vegan cuisine and is commonly used as an egg substitute.
Aquafaba is used by vegan bakers because they think it's great for fluffing up a variety of baked treats like cakes and brownies, and adding egg-like, whipped fluff and texture to meringue mousse and macaroons.
This vegan trend of using aquafaba is also used by chefs when preparing mayonnaise. Traditionally, cooking experts recommend substituting 1 ounce of aquafaba for one egg.
Let's talk about Aquafab's nutritional facts
When we talk about whether or not something is useful for weight loss, we need to check the nutritional information. As far as aquafaba is concerned, I've found that as a plant-based substitute, it's fat and cholesterol free with very few carbs, proteins, vitamins and minerals. So what else do you need on your weight loss journey! A tablespoon of aquafaba has less than five calories and no other nutrition. There's nothing wrong with saying it's more like water for people on a weight loss journey.
While undoubtedly suitable as an egg replacement, it can make newly converted vegan weight-conscious people happy by allowing them to continue enjoying their favorite desserts without having to give up eggs.
The internet is full of aquafaba recipes, but I don't think they can be called truly healthy. This egg substitute can never even come close to the nutritional value of egg. It's certainly very low in calories, but is that enough for a person struggling with weight issues?
If you're in the mood to give it a try weight loss with aquafaba, then you'll have to think twice, but yes, if you use it creatively, it can help you prepare vegan mayo, vegan butter and vegan coconut macaroons easy.
A quick way to do the same is…
For vegan mayo, just mix a few spoonfuls of aquafaba with apple cider vinegar, salt, olive oil, lemon juice, mustard powder. Mix it well like in the traditional one Mayo Recipe.
For vegan butter, all you have to do is mix aquafaba with some olive and coconut oil, apple cider vinegar and salt. Blend to get your homemade vegan butter.
To make vegan coconut macaroons, beat aquafaba like egg whites and fold in coconut flour and sugar-free sweetener to get your egg-free vegan macaroons.
slimming with aquafaba; Is it possible?
Yes, it is possible, as it will certainly help you reduce a tremendous number of calories, but you need to be careful about your diet. So if you are in the mood for a low calorie dessert, go with aquafaba for weight loss, it will make it happen.
